More Sunday Fun

This song is essentially uncoverable. Or so I thought. But they do a more than respectable job with it, and the vocals are great. Itโ€™s a nice touch taking such a masculine song and having a very feminine woman do it up like she means it.

What I always liked about RHCP when I listened to them is that they are unafraid of sex being primal and wild, but were also not misogynistic (though in the modern, wrong sense, they would probably be seen that way). Modern โ€œprogressivesโ€ treat sex either like clinicians or think it should be regulated sharply, though in different ways than conservatives. But the song is about more than sex and has a quite cool story behind it.

Also, thatโ€™s a nice five-string bass.
