Know Go

The idiot left (nearly all the left, that is) know they are wrong but don’t want to know that they know they are wrong and, furthermore, don’t want you to know that they know that they know they are wrong.

That’s a whole lot of now wanting any knowledge. And it shows.

Reading Allowed

Someone once said to me, “There’s no way you read all those articles you post in your Links every day.”

Bro, not only do I read those articles, the curated ones there are but a small selection of what I consume every day. Depending on the day and how busy I am, typically I read 20x to 100x more articles and papers than that. Motherfuckers, I read a lot lot. And that’s in addition to several books a week on average.

Male Int

That is a good example of male intrasexual competition. And it does happen. It’s not nearly as intense or ever-present as the female variety, but it certainly is there sometimes.

When in later high school I got into improving my social standing by dressing better and not behaving like a little freak, my own friends not-quite-bullied me but pretty close for bettering myself. No more unwashed band t-shirts and hairstyling courtesy of the wind. And I lost a few friends because of this. Gained many others.

Worth it.

What They Have

Still to this day if you say anything obviously true about AI, millions of people emerge from the shadows to rant at you about things that were partially correct 2-3 years ago but aren’t even close to any sort of reality now. Hatred and ignorance is not a good basis for policy nor decision-making. And those two things are all some people seem to possess.

It turns out that closing your eyes, covering your ears and making “Reeee” noises doesn’t do anything useful.

Cod Past

My friend who left me a 15 minute voice note informed me that I was not yet special enough1 to receive one of her hour-long voice notes. So I still await being bestowed that high honor.

Girl is turning me into a podcast listener. But it’s tailored for me so that works.
