every economics nerd right now is just an endless repeat of "listen, plebes: the government is specifically structured in a way that makes it very easy to pump money into banks and stock markets, but basically illegal to do anything to help actual people" and being smug about it

And they just take that as a given, like that wasn’t a choice. They just assume it must be that way. It’s amazing to see how the “best and brightest” can be dumber than very dumb rocks. Our education system is worthless.
