It’ll never not be weird that 95% of the dating and courting behavior that we all participated in and thought normal before 2000 or so is now classified as stalker-ish and unacceptable.

To me, it’ll always feels more strange and stalker-ish to impersonally browse profiles online like some meat market than it is to meet someone in person. But to those accustomed to depersonalization and impersonality, this feels normal even though it’s at odds with all human history.

And I say this having mostly dated online since that same era!

It’s mostly liberals driving this, of course, like all too many cultural negatives now. It’s not that I think the conservatives are any better because I do not. Both are wrong, just in different ways. The liberals, however, are now just the larger hypocrites and since I am a liberal too I just wish they were better, so I complain incessantly about them.
