The flip side to the ‘powerless Trump’ narrative is the all-powerful Trump who can apparently single-handedly carry out initiatives like removing troops from Germany and demanding more money from South Korea that nobody else agrees with. Policies (supposedly) only Trump owns.

This is a companion to the liberal contention that Obama had no power at all — that he was stymied at every turn by Congress, by the intransigence of American opinion, by the weather, or by whatever excuse the shitlibs could come up with for why Obama nearly-invariably failed to do the right thing.
Why, he just couldn’t help relinquishing the country to the banksters and drone-bombing all those people! It was completely out of his hands!
