Epidemiologists and demographers painted a dark picture in conversations with TPM, estimating that total U.S. COVID-19 deaths this calendar year could range from 260,000 to 500,000.

Glad the “experts” are catching up with me. Here’s what I wrote way back in April.

I’m guessing the eventual Covid-19 death toll from the beginning and up to the next eight months will be 300,000 in the US.

I hate being right, but I’d rather be right than an utter dumbass. I’m still predicting around 300K. No one listens to me because I have no shiny credentials, yet I am right more than they are. Fancy that.
