I love, love, love this take. Rarely do you get a real sense of space and geography in movies and this gives you that. The camera itself becomes a character and instead of just being a way to show off tells you something about the world of the film.
I know this movie is one aimed at film nerds. But hey, I am a film nerd so this really hit for me. Just a wonderful use of artifice to convey something real.
