Take On Me

That Wittgensteinian โ€œlanguage gamesโ€ and the math that we do (โ€œmath gamesโ€) are not much different, really, and only because the fuzziness of much of quantification has been well-concealed do we think that math offers some Eternal Truth while using words is doomed to vagueness.

Math can and does achieve many things words alone cannot easily do. But math is not the world, and thatโ€™s where we are unbelievably confused and misled.
