You made a risky investment. Boo-fucking-hoo. Pouring your life savings into any one thing is an extremely dangerous thing to do. Itโs stupid, fantastically so. Zero sympathy here from me. Make a bad investment decision, reap the consequences. More of the rentier class should experience this.
An important difference between the renters who canโt pay and this person: when the renter canโt pay, they eventually get evicted and lose their home. When the landlord canโt pay for the houses theyโve over-leveraged and poorly invested themselves to buy, they still have their primary residence in which to live.
