The disconnect between data and public mood is the largest I can remember since a year ago, fwiw (except now the data is about vaccine delivery, and it’s very good!).

Yeah, it’s really fucking bizare. I think pandemic exhaustion combined with liberal social media doom-mongering explains most of it.
