This thread is all true, but it’s not the whole story. US liberals are deeply, deeply terrified of sex and are almost all horrible prudes. This has just as much to do with the war on sex workers and what’s driving it as right-wingers attempting to impose their idea of morality on the rest of us.

When I post anything about sex on my blog, my readership drops for weeks after. It’s one of the reasons I do it, to prune those people! And it’s most pronounced among US visitors by far.

Outside of a few LGBTQ-adjacent areas, most US liberals have sexual attitudes that would’ve been considered hyper-conservative in 1984.
