Hot Times

The myths of bodyweight training.

The basic advice isnโ€™t bad, but I disagree with โ€œitโ€™s a mistake to want to be hot in the first place.โ€ I think that shouldnโ€™t be a primary goal of weight training, but it is a worthy goal. It makes a huge difference to oneโ€™s life. Sheโ€™s reacting to past trauma and yo-yo dieting, I understand, and thatโ€™s fine but sheโ€™s largely wrong in her thoughts about motivation.

Getting strong first should indeed be your priority. I do agree with her there. But working out to look better is something Iโ€™m very, very, very glad I did and it motivates me a lot. Sheโ€™s making assumptions that getting hotter will not and cannot motivate anyone, which is just completely bogus. It is extremely motivating to me and to many people.
