That’s about the thread in the post below, and I think that pretty much captures it. Once you get accustomed to your prison of helicopter parenting and walled gardens where all is sanitized, you begin to crave it and the mildest aberration seems like a huge threat.

The internet is significantly less horny now than it was, despite there technically being more.
It used to be a joke you couldnt search anything without finding porn and that was true. Now its sequestered on specific sites, free from puritanical eyes

Exactly. Most fragile younger millennials and Gen Z have no memory of that internet, which was around for about 10-12 years.
