It’s too bad more men don’t realize how much fun it can be to be “just” friends with women when you aren’t just trying to shove coins in the sex dispenser and actually really get to know the person.

I have some sympathy, though. Many men are very, very sex-starved*, so they think they have to take every and any chance they can get. But still, it’s worth not doing that because so many other great things occur. And even if you want to look at it instrumentally (you shouldn’t, but…), even if your woman friend has no romantic interest in you, she almost certainly has friends who will.

So, win/win no matter how you think about it.

*I know libs will say this doesn’t matter and “get over it,” but it does matter even if many men are assholes.
