A usage quibble. The atrocities in Ukraine are not "alleged," they're "apparent." We have photographic evidence of civilians being executed. Perhaps our understanding of what occurred will change with a better understanding of the facts, but the pictures are not mere allegations.

Our journalism is terrible, and getting worse. Most journalists are so eager to “both sides” everything, they’ll even do that for obvious atrocities and violations of human rights right in front of them.
