Ha. I know! I have run into this too. It’s BS of course.
I think some of this comes from that most women only consider the top 10% of men for dates, whereas most men will consider 80% of women. So women believe they lack for potential dates as they automatically discard 9 out of 10 guys without even considering them.
About six or eight months ago I bought some custom-fitted shirts that were quite expensive. Now they no longer fit and look like I’m wearing kids’ clothes. I purchased them with the idea that it was unlikely at my age that my muscles would get any larger. They looked great when I bought them but now they’re not really wearable at all.
Not sure I should buy more because what if I’m wrong again? When you buy custom-fitted clothes it doesn’t take much change for them to not look good.
I’m not planning on cutting back on working out so I guess I’ll wait.
