Iโm having this trouble with leading my team: when to allow junior people to flail and struggle and when to step into help them. Problem is, I donโt have a lot of time to do training and spend hours on calls with people pointing them in the right direction. At the same time, I donโt want anyone to spend days or longer frustrated with no assistance.
Not bragging, but most often I can solve problems in five minutes that they spend hours or days working on (though it takes much, much longer to lead them through this). But if I donโt let them struggle a bit, they never have a chance of going from โjuniorโ to โsenior.โ I feel like I havenโt struck the right balance there yet and am still working on it.
