Great thread. This is how you do it.

Iโ€™m an excellent troubleshooter and this resembles my philosophy and method. And yes, I do solve things that cannot be found via Google. Iโ€™m the guy you call when youโ€™ve already called all the other guys.*

Reminds me that I also need to put together some sort of Troubleshooting Theory class for my team. I am still not sure troubleshooting can be taught, but I am still willing to give it a go. If it improves troubleshooting capability even 20% itโ€™ll be well worth it.

*Thursday, I solved a problem that two developers, one member of my team, and a few other people had spent two weeks on. I cracked it in less than five minutes. I just didnโ€™t have time to look at it any earlier.
