I do not regret for 1 second ensuring my kids normalcy in 2020. We allowed them to see friends in April 2020, go on vacation, and work out at the gym. They needed it for their mental/physical health. I think it was selfish for the adults to ask the kids to sacrifice for them.

It was very odd. I have an acquaintance with a high-school-age daughter, and the daughter lost 80% of her high school experiences and events due to needless Covid restrictions (she was a dancer and volleyball player). Sheโs permanently scarred from it, according to her mom, and inconsolable with rage about it.
And we did this to millions and millions of kids. We are insane.
