How? The 125mm cannon has a daytime sighted range of 4000m. If it’s a true tank/tank kill, it’s the longest in history by very far and probably used the Sokol-1. Ignore that range there. The Sokol-1 can actually do 12km indirect fire.

Yup. Most “Long Covid” is really Short or Medium Covid. There’s nothing amazing or special about Covid-19. It’s just another damn coronavirus.
For 98% of people, Long Covid will be 1-2 years of somewhat bad times, certainly, but not lifelong and ever-worsening disability (and a lot of Long Covid is real, but mental — that is, it is not the result of anything physiological). That the Covidians wanted to end civilzation to avoid Long Covid is cool and all I guess, but not really a proportionate response.

Yes. Because it happens extremely rarely. The average woman probably receives 1000x as many compliments as even the more exceptional men. I remember every single woman who has ever complimented me in public since I was five years old.
It’s four. That’s why it’s easy to remember — because it’s happened four times total. This is true for most men. Tons of men never receive a single unprompted compliment from non-parents or non-partners in their entire lives. When you’re a man, you’re very aware of the vast indifference of the universe to you — so when something breaks through that, you fuckin’ remember it forever.

People ended up resisting lockdown too much so the panjandrums needed a coup de grâce and they’ve found it; only large businesses will survive this (the real intent of lockdown). I have a few friends there and all of them are trapped by Brexit but wish they could leave easily.
I would annihilate entire townships to work with someone who has troubleshooting skills equal to mine. It has never happened yet but one day it will. I shall not rest until it does.

I’ve had some great, irreplaceable experiences in restaurants. It was darkly hilarious — and deeply strange — seeing the Covidians claim for years that no one needed to go out in public, that no one needed school (the kids can work in the fields, like the Olden Times!), that no one needed social experiences, that no one needed to travel, to vacation, or to leave the house.
They have a very fucked definition of “need.” Trying to soften us up for the pod life, I guess.
Closing schools and restaurants and crowding everyone together in small apartments for weeks on end might not have been as brilliant of an idea as people thought

Most Gen Z and a lot of Millennials seem to have trouble with this. It was just taken as a given when I was young that because, for instance, Stephen King wrote about a clown murdering people didn’t mean he actually wanted to dress up as a clown and murder people.
But these days, tons of folks are convinced that Stephen King is definitely dressing up as a clown and going out slaughtering because he wrote about it once (or if not, that he supports clown murder sprees).
I cannot understand what these people are smoking.
