Important things do happen in restaurants. Family celebrations. First dates.
This idea that everything that happens in restaurants is frivolous, I think that’s a little off. Some of it frivolous sure. Some of it is very important to people.

I’ve had some great, irreplaceable experiences in restaurants. It was darkly hilarious — and deeply strange — seeing the Covidians claim for years that no one needed to go out in public, that no one needed school (the kids can work in the fields, like the Olden Times!), that no one needed social experiences, that no one needed to travel, to vacation, or to leave the house.
They have a very fucked definition of “need.” Trying to soften us up for the pod life, I guess.
