The book Iโ€™ve enjoyed the most lately has been A Half-Built Garden by Ruthanna Emrys.

This is a tale well-told despite the authorโ€™s shaky understanding of what makes sustainability live up to its name. That said, the characters are realistically flawed and human (even the ones who are not human) with no Mary Sues to be found. If you like Kim Stanley Robinson but want his writing to be more like Ursula K. LeGuin (which I do) this book might be for you.

Itโ€™s the rare book I didnโ€™t want to put down. Recommended.
