XFCE is still the best desktop environment out there. Works great, stays out of your way, is snappier than dialogue in an Amy Sherman-Palladino show and does not fucking spy on you. I love it. If there were any decent 5K monitors outside of the Apple ecosystem I’d switch back to Xubuntu in a damn instant.

XFCE is pretty near perfect for what it is.
