The below is about USB. And USB can do everything but it does all of it poorly, and with unpredictable (and often high) latency.

When you have to get actual work done correctly and accurately, USB is not what youโ€™d pick. Itโ€™s fine for most applications that are not time- and latency-sensitive, though. Itโ€™s a compromise protocol, however, and that means it does nothing particularly well.
