This Friday night’s news dump is a biggie: Texas judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, an antiabortion Trump appointee, has ruled that the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the drug mifepristone in 2000 was flawed and must be suspended.

I told you they were coming for contraception (yes, I know mifepristone is used for drug-induced abortion). This is just the beginning; it will only get worse from here. I hope a state like California just starts ignoring this sort of thing altogether.

Abortion was always more about other things, mainly putting women back in their place socially and sexually. Another thing that “could never happen” is beginning to happen.
