Inflation was not “transitory” if it was and has been elevated far above the historical norm for the past 2+ years. Jesus fucking Christ I can’t believe that has to be said.
This is just an insane amount of cope and lying. Originally, the utterly wrong “Team Transitory” assured us that inflation would subside on its own, with no Fed or other action. They were completely against raising rates. Now that we’ve had a few years of rate rises and QT, they don’t get to just declare victory. Most of them claimed inflation would be back to normal in 3-6 months. And that was in early 2021, recall.
It’s also doubly fucking laughable as inflation is still well above the historical trend line while they are saying they won. Fucking idiot clowns who should not even be in charge of soiled bedpan inventory at a VC-owned nursing home.
