I truly do believe most Facebook-style social media is a Level 1 cognitohazard for nearly all people who encounter it. I am not in the least exaggerating. We are not evolved to be handle constant exposure to other’s (terrible) algorithmically-curated thoughts and opinions and it is a huge societal net loss that we allowed it to develop as it did.
