56k Dialup.

I had a 56k modem but it never connected at that speed. I got 48k sometimes. Most often 33.6.

I started out with a 1200 baud back in 1985 or so. Then 2400, 9600, 14.4, etc. Now I have 1Gbs symmetrical fiber and it is infinitely better.
