Yep, yep. Pretending a 25-year-old woman is some innocent, agentless clueless naïf in a relationship like that is fucking delusional. It’s actually insane. And I think that Wil is right in his identification of the culprits. This at-odds-with-reality belief is held almost exclusively by women who are atypical and disconnected from normal women. By that I mean women who aren’t so obsessed with quantification of everything to the nth degree — women who just want to live life and have fun.
And of course it’s also a story a lot of women like to tell so they can avoid responsibility or accountability for anything. But it’s not true just because they say it.
