One of the strangest features and set of claims during the height of the (moronic) Woke movement from roughly 2012-2024 were the brutal and usually-unjustified cancellations all the while those perpetrating the worst of it were claiming cancel culture did not exist. And of course, often, the people I’m discussing just a few tweets or posts after claiming there were no cancellations occurring would call for the cancellation of someone.

It was such a strange time that made you wonder whether people had any sort of memory or ability to read.

I eventually realized, sort of, what was happening. In the liberal authoritarian mind, every cancellation was justified. Therefore, it was not cancellation. It was consequences — justified and appropriate.

Ta-da! No cancellation culture.
