(2) Dr Daisy Dixon on X: "my theory is that a reason these men donโ€™t like tattoos on women is because itโ€™s an outward sign of creative agency and self-ownership - it signals that the womanโ€™s body is hers and no one elseโ€™s - it aesthetically undermines and rejects menโ€™s felt entitlement to our bodies ๐Ÿ–ค" / X

Too general, but basically correct. Not all women are dishonest. But many are when it comes to intrasexual competition! They will do whatever it takes to hobble other perceived competitors.

And yes, a lot of women particularly hate Sydney Sweeney because they realize that sheโ€™s the woman they couldโ€™ve been if they hadnโ€™t ballooned up to 400 pounds and gotten loads of horrid tattoos. Because though Sydney is attractive โ€” as Iโ€™ve pointed out before โ€” sheโ€™s โ€œnormalโ€ attractive. She cleans up really well but does not have a supermodel build, face or physique (unlike someone like Margot Robbie, who does).

Thus, Sydney is particularly hated because many women who care deeply about such things realize they could have been her, but blew it. Thus, she is more deeply despised than someone like Sasha Luss because no amount of eating right and dressing well will get anyone to that (as she is a freak of nature in a positive way).

Sydney is despised because she was what they couldโ€™ve been, but failed. And that stings far more than seeing something that was never possible.
