Places

Alright, clown, it wasnโ€™t just the pandemic that killed them off, but in the 1980s and 1990s we had these places where you didnโ€™t necessarily have to spend that much (as all of this was cheaper then) or any money:

  • Arcades
  • Malls
  • Bowling Alleys
  • Empty Parking Lots
  • Downmarket/indie coffee shops
  • That one friendโ€™s house that anyone just hung out at all the time
  • Skate parks
  • Parks in general (many kick you out now if you are under 18)

All of those used to be vastly, vastly cheaper if they cost anything at all, and no one minded much if you spent very little or no money. Hell, I used to go to arcades nearly all day and spend about 50 cents total.

Idiots writing about pasts they are too young to remember are quite annoying.
