Some of this about conservatives is true, sure, but it is equally accurate to say that if some roving vagrant stabbed Alysa Liu or someone just like her to death on a bus, many, many “progressives” would have more kind words and empathy for the killer than for the young woman murdered.

Especially if the killer were a “person of color.”

We saw that with Iryna Zarutska, who was by any measure the perfect immigrant: productive, refugee from an actual war, not a burden on taxpayers, attractive and bettering herself and our country every day. She was worth a million Decarlos Browns. If idiot clown-ass progressives can’t support that kind of immigrant over a failure of a human like Brown, I got nothing for them.

So Jessica Valenti can rant and rave all she wants about how conservatives want to hold women down (and, to be fair, many of them do!), but she’s one of the people who would be (and has) held people like Decarlos Brown up as an exemplar over someone like Iryna Zarustka.

I guess one thing we can all agree on is that Alysa Liu’s free skate routine is one of the most beautiful things we’ve seen in our lives (certainly it was for me), and that this is one of the best Olympics photos ever taken.
