In the 90s, this certainly was not a thing. It wouldโ€™ve been seen as weird and foreign to us then, from a male or female perspective. Sure, there were some rare fringe weirdos like this in the most neurotic radfem spaces, but we just cheerfully ignored them and went on about our lives. Women were not terrified of men and their sexuality, and men were not constantly fearful of being thought a creep or that merely talking to or flirting with a woman might get him canceled for life.

What somehow happened is the loudest screeching neurotics โ€” due to the outrage and car crash amplification of social media โ€” set the tone and agenda for everyone. This altered culture in horrible ways leading to the dystopia we currently inhabit.

Iโ€™m wondering if weโ€™ll ever be able to get out of this moronic trap.
