Stuff like this makes me laugh. This is poorly band-aiding a problem that was well and fully solved 40 fucking years ago and worked great since then.
When inept devs reinvent something incompetently and needlessly, they really do it right wrong.
But we will keep going down this dead end, I guess, because some folks just adore complexity for its own sake.
