Same, but our hangout spot was Subway. It was cheap, they mostly didn’t care we were there, and it was an easy place to meet up. Now all fast food places are expensive and look like (and are about as welcoming as) prison cafeterias. Many do not even allow unaccompanied minors to visit any longer, no matter how much money they spend or how well-behaved they are.

Where exactly are young people supposed to gather? If you want to complain about them being on their phones all the time, you must offer actual alternatives to that.
