Younger Millennials and Gen Z for some dumbass reason believe every interpersonal relationship is always and only about power. They’ve applied James C. Scott’s Seeing Like a State to their own friends, paramours and even family. It’s absolutely fucking insane but that is what has occurred.

That they think this approach is correct and is a good thing is what is particularly bothersome.
