Triple Stipple

My late Grandfather and his triple monitor setup.

Judging by the clues in this image and me just knowing a lot about tech, this photo was likely taken 1977-1979. Possibly as late as 1982, but not before 1975.

How I know: Color graphic operator stations with trackballs didnโ€™t really exist commercially before about 1974โ€“75. By ~1982, a system like this would have been far more likely to have purpose-built monitors as well as a mouse and would look less like someoneโ€™s living room furniture.

Also, hard to tell, but this seems like a typical 1970s chromogenic color print where the cyan fades first, leaving the colors washed out just that way.

If I had to pick a year for this precisely, Iโ€™d say it was taken in 1979.
