In the election I basically voted against anything that gives the California government more money as it’s an incredibly poorly-governed state that wastes vast amounts of funds.
That means I did vote against Proposition 40, the “billionaire tax.” Mostly because it gives California more money1, but also because it is badly designed by people who do not understand how incentives work, nor how it could’ve been made into a win/win proposition.
Though we do like it here and have no current plans to move, if we’d realized how terribly California is governed I’m not sure we’d have done it. It’s just abysmally bad.
