Just a reminder that under the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances signed on December 5, 1994, Russia, the US, Ukraine and the UK agreed that no power would invade or coerce Ukraine if it relinquished its 1,000+ nuclear weapons.

Russia violated this agreement by invading Crimea in 2014 and the rest of Ukraine in 2022.

There were no stipulations about NATO membership of Ukraine or any other states in the Memorandum. This is why the US and NATO should be tossing Russia out of Ukraine posthaste.
