Coronavirus Surge Is Killing America’s Small Businesses.

This is, I believe, not accidental.

Nearly 110,000 small businesses across the country had decided to shut down permanently between early March and early May, based on data collected in weekly surveys by Alignable, a social media network for small business owners.

And it’s just beginning. By fall, I expect at least triple that number to have shuttered forever. The effect on the economy will be immense; this’ll be a depression like no one alive has ever seen. We’re still in the early stages, where many people people retain some measure of false hope. And none of it had to happen, but it’s what our plutes wanted. And they got it.
