Breaking it down

Car windows are very strong, especially on modern cars.

If you do need to break a window, striking near the corner is best. Using industrial grade ceramic from a spark plug or similar breaks a car window easily, as that is quite a bit harder than glass. It takes shockingly little effort to break a window with spark plug ceramic.

Uhh, I learned that on TV or something.

Yeah, thatโ€™s it. TV.

  1. An improbable sequence of unrelated events over a few years (a couple of decades ago) convinced me that either
    a) cars are really easy to break into without breaking anything, or
    b) I missed my calling as a car thief.
I’m assuming the answer is a) since I never really pursued b)
