Deskperation

Your Next Computer Should Be a Desktop.

True. But I hope not too many people actually take this advice as I continue to use a desktop while they struggle with a laptop or tablet and their limited resources serves to make me vastly more productive than they are, especially in a work environment.

So I hope enough people buy a desktop to keep them cheap and available, but that my direct competitors do not and stick with inferior devices instead.

Win/win!

  1. Wishful thinking on your part. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyone with an ounce of sense realizes that tablets are basically sad toys, and too many laptops try to be tablets. My eyeballs alone demand a good screen.

I am not impressed with Windows 10 as an operating system for the simple reason that it’s designed and optimized for tablets. My father has had pretty much every iteration of Windows since MS-DOS and would rather spend money to rehab a Mac which is going to be “vintage” in less than a year than buy a new Windows machine.

    • I never thought I’d say that having been a Windows aficionado (as much as one can be, I guess) for years, but Mac OS is actually a lot more productive — especially with some minor tweaks — than Windows 10. Mainly because Windows has gotten far worse….

You’re right, it’s still aimed squarely at tablets. Makes it painful to use on the desktop without lots of mods.
