No coddling

The attacks in Paris show both the real effects of allowing a bunch of anti-Enlightenment radical Islamists into your country and the folly of bombing brown people into freedom.

I refuse to coddle moronic liberals or idiotic conservatives. Both sides are wrong.

The best move is to transition to renewable energy so that regions invested in Islam can live their 12th-century lifestyle in peace.

If you accept large numbers of Islamists into your country uncritically, this is going to happen. Simple as that.

  1. I agree with most of your post, but not with the assumption in

“The best move is to transition to renewable energy so that regions invested in Islam can live their 12th-century lifestyle in peace.”

They will not live 12th-century lifestyle in peace in 21th-century. They will do everything to reach 21-th century countries as long as normal life (high standard of living and at least some freedoms) does not exist in their own states. The latter is especially true for citizens, accustomed to a high standard of living because of selling oil, finding themselves in sudden poverty. You seem to imagine some possibility of isolation of bad countries / ireas from the West, but today we are all more interconnected than ever.

I read a good (and very short) post in Russian here:

The third point in it imo indirectly explains why your proposition is impossible.

    • I think you’re right in most ways about that. In my opinion, all Western nations should adopt stricter border controls not based on skin color/racism as in past times, but rather ideology. Or even likely ideology as the risk is so great.

It was once thought that economic modernity (of sorts) and medieval mindsets were incompatible, but history has now shown that’s not the case.
