Liberals who see themselves as antipodal to the pseudo-empirical tech bro/engineering culture and who wish to extricate sex and dating from any ambiguity are very similar to the aforementioned tech bro cultural exponents who value empiricism, quantification, and disdain all ambiguity.

In other words, modern liberals and feminists wish to somehow extirpate all uncertainty and awkwardness in human interactions, eliminate all misunderstandings, misinterpretations and misapprehensions via the method of humans behaving as algorithmic entities, complete with specified checklists of consent and allowable behavior, are attempting an impossible utopian project no different than colonizing other planets or living forever. It’s human interaction Taylorized in a way that even the most blinkered tech bro would immediately recognize as doomed to fail.

Thus, liberals who think they are averse to algorithmic control have been so subsumed by the very culture they profess to spurn that they are reproducing it with somewhat-different words in the one place where it can never apply: human interaction.
