I'm sad that the word "diversity" has come to be associated with a few narrow and not even very useful dimensions. A room full of straight white men (or of black lesbians, etc) can be—and typically is—hugely diverse in significant ways. Humans are so complex.

The “liberal” idea of diversity is people of different skin colors who otherwise act, look and think exactly the same way.
