I have observed already the Covidians turning against Zeynep now as she wants (and has always wanted) a rational pandemic response. When that was consonant with their desires they loved her, but now that she has adjusted her ideas on response and precautions in light of what is actually happening (as anyone rational should) they’ve started to push back hard.

The kooky Covidians and lockdown lifers realize now they’re not going to get their dream of everyone hiding inside for years, and they are very, very angry about this. Fuck ’em! Let’s live our lives and pay them little attention.

I’m going out to the desert on Friday to look at cool shit and kick it with some lizards. Not staying in the pod no matter how many lockdown lifers wish I would.
