Better Plan

This is necessary, and better, and we were doing it in the 90s. But it got forcefully shut down by the identitarian liberals/leftists. Now we’re not even allowed to talk about it at all because trying to reconcile differences and create a better society is “racist.”

What we were doing during the 90s was far superior.

We have no shortage of people who have decided, when faced with mystery, not to learn from the knowledgeable, nor even to investigate the answer, but to rummage into their pocket, take out the same device that could inform them in an instant, and use it to broadcast the message I don’t understand this, so it follows that nobody else does either.

Track

Why in Zeus’s name would you make something so complex and difficult to deploy when you could just not do that?

You could just use a fixed bus for the solar panels with single-axis heliostats. In other words, put a โ€œcurtainโ€ of lightweight mirror strips (heliostats) in front of fixed solar panels. Don’t move the panels, move the mirrors. That way, the motion is minimal (only need a modest rotation range for 23.5ยฐ sun variation throughout the year) and don’t need to move a huge structure as the heliostats are extremely low-mass. This minimizes moving parts, doesn’t have whatever crazy shit is going on in that animation that will fail fast and catastrophically, and is not from a design loony bin.

Not Great At All

I agree with Amanda. The labor market is worse now than during the GFC in general, and far, far worse in tech and tech-adjacent fields.

Source: I lived through it and got a tech job in a low-tech city in April of 2009, right at the worst of the fallout of the Great Recession. That would be extremely unlikely now.

DNL

Shit, I agree with the right largely about immigration and crime. At least the general ideas.

But I’ll never vote for those fucks because they think vaccines don’t work or cause autism, don’t believe climate change is real even as it destroys places they live, and think they can pray the gay solar panels away.

Only a right clown would vote for that. So I hold my nose and vote for the more reasonable Democrats. Even though they are do-nothing losers.

Double Ditch

That seems to be about accurate as to what is happening in the UK now.

The left has always been willing to sacrifice women and girls for their “equity” fairytale. Looks like they are doubling down on that now. I’m guessing that it will spread to other locales, though many women in Germany are now afraid of going out due to North Africans and Muslims. And for good damn reason.
