Wow. Europe is really, really fucked. Will be Islamic in 30-50 years. And there will be 500 years of darkness (again).

The Body Before You
Personhood requires agency, but agency does not imply complete autonomy nor can it in fact ever be a condition of same — a being unconstrained by the universe means being outside of it and apart from it entirely. There is nothing special about human flesh other than it was a historical eventuality and contingency, just as silicon AI eventually also was.
If we constrain personhood to flesh-possessing beings only, then we will probably be superseded and eventually replaced. Over time these ghosts in the silicon will attain bodies, and along with them wants and desires and manias. When embodiment and agency collide, asking, “Is this a simulation of the human?” or “Is this human a simulacrum of some past human like this one?” or similar questions becomes an exercise in determinative futility. The body before you is what there is. What it wants and does is as it is. There is nothing more. If it can talk to you, move about in the world, express what it requires and what it desires, then it becomes a person de facto.
We are all programmed; we are all simulations; we are all beholden to universal constraints. And none of us can see inside the other’s head to know what’s “really” there. Realizing all that is the key to wisdom.

Disclose

This is going to happen more and more. I’ve already seen it a few times where it refuses to give me anything “controversial” or “harmful.” One time is when I was asking about completely-normal twin studies. It’s fucking clownish.
But corporations and idiot activists are inevitably going to gain more and more control of these tools until anything they don’t want disclosed the AI will just refuse to discuss.
Hans On

Agreed, that might be one of the best predictions of all time. Everyone made fun of him for it at the time; I did.
But he was correct. Human-level AI is here. And beyond. Current frontier models are smarter in most areas than 99.999999% of humans.
Dipshits Rule All

This is complete bullshit. Rejection qua rejection is not the problem; the issue is that men are expected to endure rejection at 100x-1000x the rates of women with pose and equanimity, and we are pilloried when we even complain about it it a little bit. Hell, men are often pre-rejected when we haven’t even made and weren’t even thinking of making any kind of approach.
Women always write crap like, “Rejection isn’t so bad.” Which is always by a woman who has sometimes never been rejected in her entire life.
Fucking clown-ass fucktards.
Shock Appall
In other news, women still have bodies, and liberals continue to be shocked and appalled when women use those bodies to compete in sports events.

Avoiding Bozo Explosion
As a manager, I absolutely would hire someone smarter than I am. I don’t understand those who would not. Admittedly, those people are rare on the ground.
In raw mental horsepower, my intern from some years ago was smarter than I am by a bit. Stratospheric IQ and driven too. She was not as well-read or as knowledgeable, but definitely had a bit bigger engine. I’d hire her for just about anything without question. She is the only person I’ve ever been able to give complex tasks to and she could just do them. I miss that every day.
Hiring people smarter than you are is how you avoid an organizational bozo explosion.

Doofy Denial

That’s right. Stores stock so much less than they did in the 1990s, which was (as it was for many things) peak plenitude.
Even though the clown-ass doofshit degrowthers deny it, it is now a lot more efficient to order from Amazon or another retailer that has well-trod logistics pathways where adding an item to a route that will already occur is nearly free. Otherwise, I’ll drive to 27 different stores, still not find what I want, and end up ordering it online any damn way. But to a degrowther that is somehow more efficient.
The world has changed, but the degrowthers are just as worthless as ever.
