A while ago a friend of mine on here DM’d me that the problem with America is “not just underinvestment in public infrastructure/services but in large part that we are an antisocial bunch of violent fuckers.”

I think that is substantially true. Hell, it’s true of me. And true of a lot of my fellow Americans. The difference is I do successfully restrain my worst tendencies and try to be a decent human. Most Americans don’t even make the least attempt at that.
